4K Teacher

SALARY: $39,200/YEAR

We are looking for a 4k teacher to co-teach with West Bend School District teachers at the West Washington Branch. We are a community partner with the West Bend School District to provide 4k services to West Bend.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the 4K Manager, the 4K Teacher is responsible for implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on the standards set forth by the West Bend District and the Kettle Moraine YMCA.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• Department of Public Instruction Teaching License (EC-MC) required.
• Current CPR/AED certification preferred; required within 30 days of hire.
• Must complete and pass fingerprint check.
• Must complete a Health Physical and TB test within 30 days of hire.
• The ability to appropriately interact with children at their cognitive level.

• Follows the DCF 251 Licensing Rules for Group Child Care Centers.
• Implements the policies set forth by the West Bend School District.
• Supervises and mentors assistants and volunteers.
• Plans and participates in staff meetings, parent/teacher conferences, professional development and family involvement opportunities.
• Participates in Individual Education Plans (IEP’s) for referred children.
• Collaborates and works cooperatively with West Bend District special education teachers and other YMCA partners.
• Problem solves issues, concerns, incidents and reports to supervisor with possible solutions.
• Communicates with parents, keeps all interactions positive and is considerate to the feelings of children and parents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
