SUMMARY

Working out of TAEC’s San Jose Storage Design Center, the selected applicant will work as a member of an R&D team, on Hard Disk Drive related projects. The work environment is project and team based and involves developing leading edge storage technologies and products.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of years of directly applicable experience.
• Very strong fundamentals in relevant HDD technologies.
• Proficient in C/C++.
• Experience in embedded programming.
• Good communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, team environment

Education:

• Bachelor’s in Engineering, M.S or PhD preferred

• Design, implement, debug, and evaluate various aspects of HDD related projects.
• Develop new algorithms and architectures as needed, including in the areas of performance and advanced data format technologies.
• Take on large and complex assignments.
• Mentor/support junior engineers as required.
• Collaborative with members inside and outside of a core project team.
• Produce quality embedded firmware, participate in peer design reviews and provide supporting design/evaluation documentation.
• Communicate effectively and work closely with other remote development teams.

Salary Range: $132,400 - $178,800
