BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • US citizenship, due to the nature of the work and contract requirement
  • The ability to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance, due to contract requirement
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical engineering, or related field
  • 7-10 years of directly related experience; or seven years plus of directly related experience with appropriate training (ASQ certifications, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), and IPC certifications, IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-6012)
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience working within an ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience working on the processes for the manufacture of Printed Circuit Board(s) (PCBs) and Printed Circuit Board(s) Assembly (PCBA)
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience working on inspection and testing aspects of Printed Circuit Board(s) (PCBs) and Printed Circuit Board(s) Assembly (PCBA)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Masters’ degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant field
  • 7 years’ applying sound systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving supplier quality issues
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills

Responsibilities:

Azure Summit Technology is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team. This position is located on-site at our facility in Melbourne, Florida with occasional overnight travel to our office in Fairfax, Virginia, and/or other locations as needed to support Supplier Quality activities. Your future team has worked together to produce the following job description.
The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing Azure’s risk mitigation strategy on PCBs by working with the Contract Manufacturers, Fabrication houses, and external third-party test laboratories on independent circuit board analysis. When failures occur, the candidate will lead investigations by working with all parties involved resulting in a robust Root Cause/Corrective Action. Duties will include providing trending analysis on quality issues and performance metrics. The candidate will perform supplier audits and qualifications. Other duties as assigned by management.
