EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An energetic self-starter and willingness to learn with a strong financial acumen with a minimum 3-5 years Accounts Payable Experience
  • Bilingual English/French is an asset
  • Post-secondary education in a business or accounting program or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software and proficiency with Yardi PayScan is an asset
  • Team-oriented individual with the ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships
  • Attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and strong adherence to established deadlines
  • Organized and efficient with strong multi-task skills and the ability to work under pressure with limited supervision

Responsibilities:

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for the seamless flow of financial information and data as well as the ongoing processing of vendor invoices and entering employee expenses to support a portfolio of Residential properties. This position will suit an individual who is detail-oriented, capable of working both independently and as part of a team. And also, willing to work flexible hours and overtime, as required. The Accounts Payable Administrator reports directly to the Accounts Payable Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and approve invoices in a timer manner
  • Receiving daily mail and scanning into Yardi PayScan module
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual activities in accordance with monthly timetables and cut-offs.
  • Coordinate the EFT payment processing for both existing and new vendors.
  • Research and resolve for bank reconciliation open items.
  • Entry of data elements of invoice matching items to open purchase orders
  • Reconciling vendor statements
  • Managing online images for a paperless accounts payable process
  • Liaise with site staff and Accounting to ensure appropriate information is received, recorded and provided as requested either through regular deliverables or ad hoc requests
  • Coordinate documentation between sites and regional head office
  • Review internal payable reports with AP manager
  • Liaise with vendors and Accounting regarding accounts payable matters
  • Work closely with the accounting department to ensure month ends are closed and accounting related questions are properly answered
  • Other related duties as required
