JOB DESCRIPTION

As an administrative officer in the Personal Insolvency Team you will be working with colleagues to process applications for debt relief and answer queries from customers, including members of the public and debt advice organisations

PERSON SPECIFICATION

We are looking for team members who can demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Organisational skills. You can organise yourself and your work to make sure you meet deadlines and targets. You will understand how to prioritise your work so nothing is missed.
  • Interpersonal skills. You have good written and verbal communication skills and experience of how to explain things clearly and accurately to a customer
  • The ability to work as part of a team. You will understand the need to work flexibly as part of a team and help your colleagues whenever this is needed, in order to achieve deadlines.
  • IT skills. You will have a experience of working with MS office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role provides the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge and skills in the following areas:

  • Working as part of an administration support team managing a variety of work tasks including processing claims and applications from the public.
  • Providing excellent customer service.
  • Answering a broad range of customer enquiries.
  • Inputting and updating information on office databases and case management systems.

The operational delivery profession is varied and involves working on the front line in different public-facing environments. You will be dealing with different types of customers and delivering a range of public services, but the skills and behaviours you’ll develop will be transferable whatever you do.
