Description:
Who we are:
At Tobii Dynavox, we empower people with disabilities to do what they once did or never thought possible. We call this mission Power to Be You. Our assistive communication technology helps our customers express themselves, connect with the world, and pursue independence, whether through everyday activities like ordering food or extraordinary feats like running a company. Working at Tobii Dynavox, you’ll become part of a team that spans the globe, with offices in the US, Sweden, France, the UK, China, and beyond.
To learn more about what we make possible, meet some of our customers or take a look at some of our products.
What you’ll do:
Around 50 million people across the world have conditions that leave them without a voice. Most aren’t aware that communication technology like ours exists. Our Sales and Business Development Team works to close that gap by building relationships that broaden our reach.
What you’ll do:
In this role, you’ll be the bridge between Tobii Dynavox and individuals who benefit from our technology, helping people with communication challenges discover and use tools that empower them daily. You’ll share the impact of our communication solutions with professionals, families, funding bodies, and end-user communities across Ireland, making sure everyone understands the life-changing possibilities our technology offers.
Your days will involve connecting with others through workshops, webinars, and trainings, where you’ll organize and participate in events that bring our products to life. You’ll deliver hands-on demonstrations that inspire confidence and spark interest, from assisting individual users to guiding whole communities of professionals in understanding our solutions.
In addition to connecting on a personal level, you’ll also focus on building and nurturing long-term relationships, both face-to-face and digitally. Developing connections with healthcare professionals, educators, and opinion leaders will allow you to create a support network around our users, fostering trust and engagement within the community.
This role also requires a strategic mindset to map out your assigned territory and identify new opportunities to raise awareness and build interest in our products. Whether through planned events or individual meetings, you’ll seek to connect with those who can benefit most from our solutions.
Where you’ll work
We are accepting applicants from all over Ireland, as this role involves working throughout the country. Our head office is in Cork, and you will work with customers nationwide. While you’ll have the option to work from home on some days, this position requires substantial travel to meet potential customers and clients within your assigned territory.
Your days will be filled with:
- Spreading awareness and knowledge to professionals, multipliers, funding authorities and end-user communities on our solutions
- Initiating, planning, and participating in workshops, webinars, conferences, exhibitions, and trainings to increase interest in our AAC solutions and demonstrate Tobii Dynavox products
- Building and maintaining a strong customer relationship with users, professionals, and opinion leaders in various forums to build up business relationships F2F and digitally to drive sales
Mapping your territory and creating strategies for generating and developing sales leads in preparation for growing awareness of AAC and sales
• The role requires extensive travel throughout Ireland and occasionally the UK and Europe, travel time about 80% and you will be based within the territory and work from the home office.
We are looking for someone with:
- Higher education qualifications in Speech-Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Special Education, Communication Disorders, or a related field. Extensive experience can substitute for lack of formal education.
- Experience working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices or similar technology is highly desirable.
- Experience with training and consulting on solutions - preferably within the health, medical technology, or education sectors.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills .
- Fluency in verbal and written English.
- Previous experience with sales is a plus.
- Driver’s license
If you’re a highly structured and driven person who loves to organise your days and tasks, have an ability to build trust and come with new innovative ideas that is great. If you enjoy collaborating closely with a team, have strong interpersonal qualities and have a curiosity and enthusiasm for innovative technology, this might be the perfect role for you!
