Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
This role is all about creating meaningful engagement with Aboriginal communities by supporting communications, events, and stakeholders to drive better outcomes. You’ll be hands-on in developing and delivering culturally appropriate content and ensuring projects are delivered on time to promote the Department services and programs to mob. With a focus on collaboration, you’ll help shape how to best communicate and sponsors the communities we seek to serve.
You will bring your cultural know-how and support multiple programs of work, navigating competing priorities and fostering your capabilities in Aboriginal engagement. Your ability to develop impactful key messages, deliver multimedia, and coordinate stakeholder engagement will be essential in making a real difference. If you’re passionate about engagement, this role offers a unique opportunity to connect with the cultural expressions of mob across NSW.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Ability to provide cultural advice, support, and guidance on issues impacting Aboriginal peoples, communities, and entities in NSW.
- Experience in developing and delivering internal and external communication materials, and knowledge in developing multimedia is highly desired.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with across an organisation to serve external representatives and key stakeholders.
- Capability to assist in planning and delivering Aboriginal engagements, sponsorships, and events in line with government standards and objectives.
