Based in Covent Garden, London we employ approximately 800 people. Many of our clients are part of substantial groups with strong international connections. Blick Rothenberg is committed to improving the diversity of its workforce across all levels by building a culture that’s genuinely inclusive, a culture where everyone can fulfil their potential and can be themselves.
We seek to attract smart talented people from the widest talent pool as well as those that reflect the diversity of the communities we live and work in.
BR supports flexible working (BRighter working) and aims to allow you to balance your life with the needs of colleagues and the high expectations of our clients.
OUR VALUES ARE OUR MOTIVATIONS
We have four key values, collaborative, authentic, respect and dynamic and these values are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for people who also believe in these drivers as we work together to achieve success for both our colleagues and our clients alike.
About the role
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is based within our Financial Services team part of the wider Audit, Accounting and Outsourcing department.
As a Trainee Chartered Accountant you will assist with the preparation of financial statements for Financial Services clients from trial balance stage. You will be working and collaborating with other members of team in order to build strong working relationships. You will provide assistance on statutory audits as you continue to develop your knowledge. As your confidence grows so will your project management skills as you work to meet deadlines and budget constraints for clients.
Our ACA Graduate Scheme forms part of a level 7 apprenticeship programme. We have created a first-class training and development programme to set you up for success providing the support you need to complete the ACA qualification. Alongside your day to day work you will attend college and/or study days, mentoring and will be assigned a designated buddy who will help you settle into life at the firm.
This role will start in September 2025.
What can we offer you?
When you join Blick Rothenberg, you gain much more than a qualification. You join the Blick Rothenberg culture and way of life. You will enjoy early responsibility and will find our business to be friendly and our working environment to be both lively and stimulating.
To balance the demands of a busy role and study, our teams host regular social events, and our annual firm-wide Summer and Christmas Parties are enjoyed by all. Our employee resource groups play a pivotal role in promoting a more inclusive culture and celebrate diverse perspectives that enrich our firm.
We are committed to the development of our people. In addition to you training with our external ACA training provider, we run regular in-house technical training courses as well as practical personal development training such as communication, teamwork, and transition to the workplace.
Skills & experience
For us, the personal attributes of each of our colleagues are what makes us authentic in the marketplace. We look for people who:
- Can collaborate with peers but can also bring their own voice to the table.
- Are dynamic in their approach and respectful of other people’s opinions.
- Want to be more than just a team member, someone who wants to join a business of likeminded individuals.
- Want to work in a medium-sized firm such as ours where your work opportunities will be varied.
- Are inquisitive and enjoy learning new concepts.
We are not looking for someone who knows everything already, but someone who is committed to their development and learning.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are also necessary, as is the ability to work as a member of a team.
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS ROLE CLOSE ON MONDAY 11 NOVEMBER.
Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we reserve the right to close the vacancy prior to this date.
