JOB ADVERT SUMMARY

Eduvos is looking to hire the services of a Academic Programme Manager within the Faculty of Commerce, with specific focus on our Accounting programmes, on a permanent basis. The sucessful incumbent will be based at any of our National Eduvos campuses.

EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A relevant Master’s degree in Accounting or comparable professional accounting designation
  • Professional membership with SAICA (CA) or CIMA or ACCA will be preferable

EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrable teaching experience and evidence of good teaching practice at an undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
  • Evidence might include tutoring, development of learning materials, and postgraduate supervision
  • Experience in academic administration and leadership roles at departmental and faculty level
  • Experience in development of curriculum, including assessments

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the design and the delivery of one or more programmes in the Commerce Faculty
  • Sales enablement – provide product information and training (part of implementation design)
  • Strategy implementation through operational plans, objectives and schedules
  • Strategy implementation through monitoring, control and corrective action
  • Reporting
  • Workflow / alignment / silos – cross boundary alignment
  • Escalations / Decisions / Problem solving (escalate query resolution)
  • Resourcing and capacity management (people; equipment; facilities) Resourcing (annually) for product development
  • Input into operational efficiency - processes & governance / systems / standards / compliance / methodologies
  • Contribute to the research and development of new programmes (qualifications) (identify gaps / design new curriculum / guide and monitor quality of development / submit to ABM & senate / entrance requirements including RPL’s and CAT’s)
  • Review current products / curriculums / accreditations from professional bodies
  • Talent acquisition, selection, onboarding and succession / bench strength
  • Individual performance - role clarity and objectives; reviews; feedback; corrective actions
  • Skill levels - training & development
  • Participate in Advisory Boards and accreditation / professional bodies
  • Liaise with accreditation / professional bodie
