Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Academic Quality Data Specialist supports the maintenance of the academic data across the college. Reporting to the Dean, CLLAE, the incumbent oversees a centralized data repository and plays a role in supporting policy development, program mapping, gathering stakeholder feedback, contributing to the continuous enhancement of academic programs and services. The incumbent also creates and maintains accessible, up-to-date academic information as needed, supports faculty with quality assurance tools, and assists with quality improvement initiatives across academic areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of a three (3) year post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Office Administration or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in data management and/or academic administration
- Experience with academic quality assurance considered an asset
- Experience in policy review or development is an asset.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement is an asset
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written communication) and reporting skills

- Maintains the central repository of academic data, updating information as required
- Provide support and training for use of the centralized repository and other quality assurance tools
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in academic processes and practices
- Assist in developing and updating policies and procedures related to academic quality assurance
- Support academic departments in the development, maintenance, and updating of program maps and other program information.
- Collaborate across departments to develop, implement, monitor, and improve college-wide academic quality initiatives
- Gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders to inform quality assurance practices
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the college’s quality assurance initiatives
- Other duties as assigned.
