ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
  • Minimum two years in an academic environment
  • Experience using academic course scheduling software such as CLASS, Fusion and Infosilem
  • Experience in supporting faculty and working in a student service environment
  • Strong sense of professionalism and a high level of customer service delivery is essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate tact, discretion and sensitivity when dealing with confidential matters
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong computer skills and aptitude in word processing, spreadsheets, database management and website maintenance
  • Strong research and analytical skills, ability to understand and apply information, regulation and guidelines

Responsibilities:

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Collecting and organizing course and/or room requirements for scheduling
  • Troubleshooting timetabling and/or room booking conflicts
  • Maintaining course information on student information systems
  • Preparing and disseminating examination timetables
  • Determining logistical details required for alternative arrangements to accommodate exam conflicts for students
  • Acting as the first point of contact for KPE undergraduate and graduate instructors for their administrative and logistical needs
  • Keeping well-informed on University programs, policies and procedures
  • Liaising with academic units and stakeholders to support academic calendar production initiatives
