This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Academic Support Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient delivery and quality assurance of Melbourne Veterinary School’s academic programs.
Based at the Werribee campus, you will lead a small team to manage critical student-related activities, including results administration, timetabling, subject changes, academic misconduct, and school events.
This role requires strong leadership, initiative, and organisational skills to balance multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines effectively. You will also foster positive relationships with staff, students, and stakeholders while providing exceptional support and service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate academic support functions including but not limited to subject administration, timetabling, special consideration, online enquiry systems, curriculum changes, eLearning support, subject experience surveys, academic misconduct, coordination of assessments and results processing.
  • Provide accurate and timely advice to academic staff and coordinators on matters related to student enrollment and teaching and learning.
  • Plan and oversee support functions unique to the DVM such as the Q Fever vaccination program, large animal handling week and coordination of uniform requirements in collaboration with School Executives.
  • Collaborate with and support the wider functions of Placement and Academic Support Team during peak work periods.
  • Coordinate the provision of accommodation for DVM students where appropriate.
  • Coordinate and provide support to nominated School committees including preparation of agendas and papers, writing and circulation of minutes and tracking follow up actions.
