SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Administrative experience within an Academy or relevant environment
  • Sound Knowledge of EPPP and governing body rules and regulations

Responsibilities:

WHAT IS THE ROLE?

As an Academy Secretary, you will be providing administrative support across the Academy (Under 9s to Under 21s), ensuring full compliance with EPPP and governing body rules and regulations, including the maintenance of up-to-date databases, records, files and registrations.
This role will report into the Academy Manager, with a dotted line into the Clubs Legal Team in relation to the work around player registrations & release documents, international clearance documents and compensation agreements. Therefore, the role holder must either have a law degree or be working towards one.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

You will be expected to maintain knowledge and awareness of all current and future regulatory and governance matters and update academy processes to ensure full compliance, as required. In addition, you will be supporting the Club Secretary and Legal Team with player registration and release documents, international clearance documents and compensation agreements, as required by the relevant governing bodies and EPPP rules.
You will need to prepare and collate all documents for the Academy Audit process, liaising with all departments to ensure up-to-date documentation is uploaded to the CASA platform and available when requested. You will also need to act as the principle point of contact between the Academy and relevant governing bodies.
In this role, you will be expected to attend and contribute to Academy Leadership meetings, including the taking and sharing of minutes and actions points when required. You will also need to support, and, where necessary, lead on specific Academy events such as player signing events, awards events and graduation events.
