Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

The on-call Access Control Staff member will help to manage and monitor traffic entering the gated community. You will play a key role in ensuring a welcoming and safe environment while adhering to access control protocols. This person will cover any shifts as needed throughout the week.
Compensation: $18+ per hour
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client’s property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client’s directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with a focus on customer service
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
  • Familiarity with computer, smartphone/tablet usage, and monitoring systems
  • Valid driver’s license

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Stand for long periods and patrol the premises
  • Capable of walking throughout the property
    Work Location: Sun Village Community Association; 17300 N Sun Village Parkway Surprise 85374
    Work Hours: Part time, on-call as needed; Typical shift from 3p - 11p

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist residents, guests, and vendors with professionalism and courtesy
  • Monitor entry and exit points, ensuring authorized access
  • Maintain an accurate log of all visitors and personnel entering and exiting the premises
  • Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, escalating to appropriate authorities as necessary
  • Conduct routine property tours to ensure safety and compliance
  • Collaborate with management on access control procedures and policies
  • Assist in the development and training of staff on access control measures
  • Prepare incident reports and document access control activities
  • Use surveillance equipment and monitoring systems to enhance community safety
