PLEASE STATE CLEARLY ON YOUR APPLICATION FORM WHICH POST(S) YOU WISH TO APPLY FOR.

Are you looking for a role where you can champion the educational attainment of children and young people in Rotherham?
Are you a motivated and dynamic team member with attention to detail?
Rotherham’s School Admissions service is seeking a full-time School Admissions Officer to work within the team responsible for ensuring that all statutory school age children in Rotherham have access to a school place. Working alongside the Senior Officer, your focus will be ensuring that offers of a school place are made in a fair and equitable way. You will be flexible in working across the team to meet demand and fulfil the requirement to comply with statutory deadlines and timeframes.
You will possess excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring compliance with national legislation and local policy. You will communicate effectively with schools, parents and other stakeholders and will have good written and verbal communication skills. Confidence in the use of ICT systems to support processes is essential as you will use the Council’s education management system to ensure that exacting timescales are met in the processing of applications.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will thrive working in a service where you will be required to respond to changing demands and where no two days are ever the same.
You will be joining an experienced team of professionals and although previous experience in a field related to school admissions is desirable, full training will be given to the right candidate.
The role is based at Riverside House and operates in line with the Council’s working location policy.
For further information or an informal discussion regarding this role, please contact Joanne Unwin, School Admissions Manager by emailing [email protected]
This post involves working with children’s records and therefore if successful you will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records check at a basic level. Further information about the Disclosure Scheme can be found at www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check
