JOB SUMMARY
Now, if you were to come on board as our Accessibility Specialist, Contract we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Uplevel and coach the product organization on accessibility best practices and standards.
- Stand up and lead an accessibility practice within the company.
- Develop and formalize processes and approaches to ensure the delivery of accessible products with AA compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility into all stages of product development.
- Conduct regular accessibility audits and assessments.
- Manage and execute VPATs (Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates) for our products as required.
- Stay current with accessibility laws, standards, and guidelines.
- Partnering with Design Management to communicate the state of accessibility at Compass Digital on a regular basis

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Accessibility Studies) or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in accessibility analysis, including knowledge of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and related standards.
- Experience working with assistive technologies and conducting usability testing with users of diverse abilities.
- Strong communication and coaching skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with accessibility testing tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with legal requirements related to accessibility (e.g., ADA, Section 508).
