Join our dynamic Accessory Process Engineering Team to lead the preparation of VLG’s European workshops for new vehicle model launches, ensuring top-notch accessory design, assembly processes, and training.

Your team and your responsibilities:

TEAM DESCRIPTION

As part of vehicle logistics, ‘Accessory Process Engineering Team’ is responsible of preparing VLG’s Workshops, located across Europe, for each New Model launches (~6 / Year). Our objective is to:

  • Ensure the accessories are designed for production
  • Design the assembly process that should be applied in all Workshops
  • Implement the process through provision of Equipment & Training

Responsibilities:

  • Design evaluations
  • Feasibility assessment of accessory designs vs installation requirements
  • CAD reviews to early detect concern together with development and quality
  • Installation evaluations and process design
  • Perform installations on pre-production vehicles
  • Confirm safety, quality, and repeatability of the installations
  • Confirm and calculate cycle times
  • Confirm accuracy of the instructions and create standardised work
  • Tool & Equipment evaluations
  • Define additional tool and equipment required for the installations
  • Training
  • Train operational responsible members for the new installations

Your Profile:

  • You are fluent in English (TME’s business language) and any other European language will be considered as an asset
  • You have good knowledge and experience of assembly operations and instruction creation
  • You are diligent, methodical, and proactive when solving problems
  • You can work both autonomously, setting your own work schedule and within a team to collaborate with others
  • You have good communication skills
  • You are familiar with office products (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • You are willing and enjoying travelling frequently (~30-40%)
