The ’new look’ 4* star Hotel offers guests a host of services. We are part of the Neville Hotel group, a family-owned Irish Hotel Group with five iconic hotels. Within the group is The 4* Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire County Dublin, The 5* Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort in Wicklow, The 4* Kilkenny River Court Hotel, The 4* Tower Hotel & Leisure Centre in Waterford City, and The Ravenport Resort in Curracloe, Wexford.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reporting to the Accommodation Manager:
- Offers the highest level of guest service in all accommodation areas, ensuring the agreed standards are achieved at all times
- Deals with all guest requests in a professional and timely manner
- Works as part of the team, being aware of colleagues and their needs
- Ensures an in-depth knowledge of the department’s standard operating procedures, particularly room set ups
- Follows hotel procedure for the acceptance, security and return of guest lost property as well as key control and security
- Delivers clean linen to all accommodation stores and collects all dirty linen from the accommodation hallways.
- Assess the quality and accuracy of all linen deliveries and store same.
- Assists with turnovers, tear-downs and all related services, including striping of beds if required.
- Completes all required side-work, including deep cleaning assignments, vacuuming, mopping and daily maintenance
- Maintains excellent standards of cleanliness throughout the Hotel
- Ensures all maintenance requests are communicated clearly to the Maintenance Team
- Ensure that all checklists are completed
The ideal candidate for this role will be a confident, organised person who has excellent attention to detail, will be motivated and have good social and communication skills. They will also have a flexible attitude towards shift work as the role will involve working evenings, midweek, and weekends.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- Previous experience working as a Housekeeping Porter in a hotel is desirable
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends
- Has the ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout shift
- Must be energetic, able to move quickly, and work with enthusiasm
- Honest, reliable, flexible, and hardworking
