The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Accommodation Officer to join one of our Independent Living schemes. This is a great opportunity for people-focused individuals who are looking to develop their skills within Housing and who are passionate about supporting vulnerable people to live independently.

This role will be based at Oasis House, our Independent Living scheme located in Northampton, just a short distance from the City Centre.
As an Accommodation Officer you will be on the front-line in our services. You will be directly dealing with our tenants, helping and guiding them towards successfully sustaining their own tenancy.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a well-rounded Housing Management service, overseeing allocations and lettings as well as tenancy management.
- Carry out Building Safety Checks and an ensure the buildings’ security.
- Liaise with the assets team in relation to any repairs which need carrying out.
- Monitor on-site contractors completing works.
- Provide support to tenants with benefit claims, budgeting, move-on plans etc.
- Help promote an independent lifestyle to our tenants.
Our ideal candidate? You will be a people-focused individual with previous experience in customer facing roles. You will be dealing with vulnerable individuals so it’s important you are resillient and are able to deal with challenging circumstances. Finally, we are looking for someone with previous Housing management experience who is looking to further develop their skills.
