Description:

The Award Winning Ballygarry Estate Hotel & Spa, in the vibrant town of Tralee, currently has an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our outstanding team!
Scope of Role: Reporting to the Accommodation Manager, the accommodation supervisor assists with the overall running of the Accommodation department together with, and in the absence of the Accommodation Manager.
The accommodation supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work of the accommodation assistants in the hotel. This role requires excellent organizational and leadership skills, as well as the ability to give clear instructions and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

To ensure 4 star standards of service are achieved at all times.
To perform in a professional and courteous manner with all customers (internal & external).
To offer an in-depth knowledge of accommodation services and hotel services in general.
To ensure all hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
To comply with statutory and legal requirements for Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene and Employment.
To report to duty on time, in the correct uniform and to wear a name badge and Ballygarry pin.
To provide the guest, at all times, with the highest levels of guest care and personal attention, where possible anticipating the guests needs and initiating actions to exceed expectations where possible.
To be familiar with each day’s business regarding room occupancy, special requirements and VIP needs, ensuring that all Accommodation Staff are aware of the daily business and requirements.
Ensuring that there are adequate staffing levels to meet the daily business.
Supervising and guiding the cleaning staff in their tasks, ensuring that all areas of the hotel are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
To support the team in a hands-on capacity as required, ensuring that all areas of the hotel are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
Creating and implementing work schedules, assigning tasks, and ensuring that the team meets deadlines including all rotational and special cleaning programmes as required
Conducting regular inspections of hotel rooms, public areas, and back of house areas to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance.
Training new cleaning staff members on cleaning techniques, hotel policies, and safety procedures to the standards set out in the department SOP Manual.
Monitoring inventory and ordering cleaning supplies and equipment as needed. Ensure that all supplies are used correctly, minimising waste within the department.
Managing and resolving customer complaints or concerns related to cleanliness or housekeeping services.
Collaborating with other hotel departments to ensure efficient workflow and effective communication.
Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback, coaching, and recognition to the cleaning staff.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel standards.
Keeping records of cleaning schedules, staff attendance, and performance.
Ensure all maintenance issues are recorded, scheduled and addressed in timely fashion.
Overall, the accommodation supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for hotel guests, as well as maintaining a high level of employee morale and efficiency within the cleaning team.
You must remain totally flexible in your position and may be required to carry out other tasks as directed by management.
