Description:
Reporting to the Board of Directors and working closely with the Group CEO, the successful candidate will oversee the operations and management of anl emergency accommodation center located in the Waterford city area. They will be required to oversee all essential day to day activities, making sure resident care is satisfactory and that staff/contractors are carrying out the appropriate tasks.
As center manger, you must be ready to deal with any situation that may arise and deal with it in a calm, professional manner. The successful candidate will need to have strong leadership skills, intermediate computer skills, and come from a hospitality, social care, or customer service background (3+ Years). Excellent communication, strong time management, versatility and conflict resolution are crucial to the role. Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role will be a distinct advantage. The ideal candidate will also be compassionate, effective, and efficient.
Role responsibilities include:
- To execute the efficient and effective management of the centers on a day-to-day basis
- Business and operations management including internal policy drafting and development
- Ensuring that services are being delivered to the highest possible quality and safety standards
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records for all aspects of the center and which are submitted to the Department on a weekly basis
- Arranging meetings between residents and Government departments as and when needed
- Ensuring contractors and staff are on site as rostered and carrying out their duties up to expected standards
- Addressing any resident complaints in line with house protocols
- Serve as a key liaison for outreach and engagement activities aimed at center residents, coordinating communications and integration efforts.
- Personnel management (Staff leave, HR management etc) for a team of approx 8 employees between full and part time
- Recruit when requested train, motivate, and retain staff across all areas of the center
- Flexible, can-do attitude and willing to take on other responsibilities as reasonably requested by the Board
This role is full time but the hours can be flexible and salary is dependent on previous experience and suitability. A very competitive package with perks can be negotiated for the right candidate. It is likely that out of hours and weekend work will be required in order to fulfill the duties of the role.
