WHAT YOU’LL NEED FOR SUCCESS

  • RIBO Licensed or able to obtain within 3 months of employment
  • Post-Secondary Education in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Insurance is an asset
  • Administrative experience within the legal or accounting department is preferred
  • Strong organizational, time, and client management skills
  • Effective communication skills: verbal and written
  • Strong team player
  • Proactive and customer-focused approach
  • Strong initiative and follow-up skills proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel (formulas and pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with Applied EPIC or similar insurance broker management systems

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a strong Commercial Lines Account Assistant to support our growing Commercial Complex Risks Unit focused on an assigned commercial book of business with renewals throughout the year. This is an ideal role for individuals interested in trade credit business and specialty lines with strong, organized, proactive client delivery.
The successful candidate will work out of the HUB Toronto office (Exchange Tower) in a hybrid capacity.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Day-to-day activities for clients and prospects including responding to third-party information requests execution of insurance certificates, leasing confirmations, auto liability slips, binders, statements of values, proposals, and processing of client documents within timelines aligned with established service standards
  • Effective communication with large asset management clients and multinational companies
  • Calculating provincial taxes, preparing premium finance quotes, etc.
  • Ensure the timely issuance of submissions, binders, summaries, policies, and client invoicing
  • Detailed policy proofing and fact-checking of legal contracts
  • Maintaining an effective abeyance system aligned with established service standards
  • Answering client queries, communicating with insurance companies
  • Provide assistance where required and perform all other duties as assigned
