Description:
JOB SUMMARY
Our client in the shipping industry seeks to hire a competent account clerk/account officer that would add value to their organization.
- Minimum Qualification : Degree
- Experience Level : Entry level
- Experience Length : 1 year
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of an OND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the freight forwarding or logistics industry
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Accurately input financial data into accounting systems and maintain detailed records of all transactions.
- Invoice Processing: Prepare, verify, and process invoices for customers and vendors.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and summaries.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of all financial activities, including receipts, invoices, and payments.
- Communication: Coordinate with internal departments and external clients/vendors regarding financial matters.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting regulations and standards.
- Support: Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed, including filing, photocopying, and data management.
