Description:

A vacancy has arisen within Aviva’s Sales & Distribution as we continue our growth strategy for 2024. This role is an excellent opportunity for you to grow your career in the Insurance sales space. You must have extensive experience in the Insurance sales area to be considered for this position.
This role is based in the Cork region and includes a company car
This opportunity has developed within Distribution for a new Account Manager as we look to grow and develop our core profitable product ranges within the broker market. The successful applicant will be challenged with achieving set targets across our core product lines while delivering our company’s strategy and objectives.

You will also:

  • Build and maintain excellent business relationships with a panel of intermediaries in order to deliver agreed sales targets by product line, conversion rates, and retention.
  • Develop a key understanding of intermediaries and their customers objectives, business needs and areas of opportunities for Aviva to grow.
  • Develop new intermediaries to widen Aviva’s support base.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal stakeholders in Aviva.
  • To gain a deep understanding of competitors proposition and pricing in order to be more effective in role.
  • Be a strong advocate in creating a professional environment which features role model behaviours, strong team communication; focus on customer relationships, high productivity and appropriate pro-activity that add value.
  • Ensure that all regulatory requirements are adhered to.
  • Manage all activities and outputs to ensure customers are treated fairly.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum QFA and ideally RPA or SIA

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Full Understanding of the Ireland Life & Pensions market
  • Good knowledge of Aviva’s product range including our core profitable products
  • Ability to develop both internal and external relationships with key stakeholders
  • Results orientated
  • Exemplary relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication skill

Experience:

  • Extensive industry experience
  • Ideally have previously held a role dealing directly with brokers
  • Experience of managing complex relationships, taking ownership, and resolving potential issues
  • Understanding and experience of a corporate environment including working within agreed governance and risk policies/guidelines.
  • Cross Collaboration – ability to communicate with all internal/external customer
