Description:

Proof Strategies is looking for a motivated, curious, and enthusiastic communications professional to join and grow with our team in Ottawa as an Account Coordinator. The ideal candidate has an education in political science, political management, or public policy, and has some internship experience at an agency. An Account Coordinator provides day-to-day support across account teams. This includes daily media monitoring, media and influencer relations, social listening, conducting research, preparation of materials for clients including reports and presentations (some writing), and various administrative tasks as required by the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring media coverage and postings from politicians, staff, and key stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive politician, staff, and stakeholder lists.
  • Conduct research and distill and incorporate data into documents and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with drafting client briefing notes and materials such as backgrounders.
  • Assist account teams with government relations, including arranging meetings.
  • Support account team with administrative tasks and client support, meeting set-up, note taking, legislative and political monitoring, etc.
  • Leverage the use of monitoring tools to support daily media monitoring and provide intel to better understand our clients and to help account teams better advise clients.
  • Conduct research.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations, along with editing, formatting, and management of decks.
  • Draft meeting requests and materials such as backgrounders.
  • Create, populate and manage Excel spreadsheets.
  • Prepare reports for clients.
  • Logistical support with event planning.
  • Work with visual content assets such as infographics and video in support of social media strategies.
  • Assist with administrative tasks: team support, meeting set-up, note taking, GR meeting support, etc.
  • Contribute to the firm’s commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Carry out all other reasonable duties assigned by the company.
