The Account Director acts as the key point of contact between high-profile clients and the agency. They nurture and grow client relationships and are responsible for being a source of ongoing leadership, strategy, and collaboration with VERB internal teams.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, advertising, business, communications, public relations, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly and confidently present to clients and internal management
  • Experience managing multiple, simultaneous, projects involving cross functional teams with budget, schedule, and resourcing constraints
  • Have a general understanding of process and steps involved with:


    • Website design and development

    • UX testing and reporting
    • Analytics Measurement Plans and Audits (GA and SEO)

    Responsibilities:

    • Independently manage client relationships and projects, proactively offering sound solutions to issues
    • Identify and echo clients’ business needs, ensuring that every product and deliverable is aligned and reflective of their needs
    • Identify opportunities to grow accounts by proposing and introducing new solutions and services based on your clients’ needs
    • Maintain a working knowledge of client brand standards and assets
    • Make strategic and proactive recommendations to clients, ensuring proper resource planning to meet deadlines
    • Foster and nurture a positive relationship with clients, both internal and external, through frequent, professional, and strategic communication
    • Be responsible for the overall project timeline, with the support of Account Coordinators and Project Managers
    • Be responsible for overall project budgets and work to find efficiencies and keep projects within scope
    • Uphold day to day expectations for general project management (ensuring daily stand ups, Jira follow up, testing when required, etc.)
    • Keep senior management informed of project progress, ensuring that potential issues affecting client services and projects are communicated early and resolved
    • Collaborate with all relevant VERB departments, engaging subject matter experts on projects and new initiatives
    • Provide mentorship and leadership to Accounts team members, including assisting with onboarding as required
    • Own the final quality control for all client-facing deliverables
    • Identify process improvements within the organization and work with senior management to develop and implement improvements across projects
    • Be a champion for positive employee morale by encouraging and energizing the wider VERB team
