EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 2 years of property insurance risk engineering experience/ property loss control experience
  • Understanding of FM Global, NFPA, or other HPR standards and concepts
  • Ability to travel to California and Oregon about 15-30% of the time, and occasionally elsewhere in the U.S.A, and infrequently overseas.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • College degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent required

Compensation: Anticipated salary between $86,250 – $140,000. Salary offered will be dependent upon geography, experience, and expertise of the candidate.
This position is eligible to participate in an incentive program to earn additional compensation with a target equivalent to 10% of salary annually, based on individual and Company performance.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Account Engineer, Property at Woodruff Sawyer, you’ll have the chance to advocate for clients and build relationships with carrier engineers. Your expertise will help clients identify and reduce risks, enabling them to focus on their future confidently.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Be a strong advocate for the client to aid them in identifying, prioritizing, and reducing risks
  • Help Woodruff Sawyer become the industry’s most sought-after professionals in risk management by embodying our vision. Our priority is ensuring client risk is managed effectively, allowing them to focus on their future
  • Advise clients on fire, natural hazard, and machinery breakdown exposures
  • Negotiate with carrier engineers on risk improvement plans, recommendations and alternatives, and servicing plans
  • Perform physical site surveys, collecting the necessary information to assemble marketing and COPE reports
  • Estimate and determine adequacy of reported values using tools such as Marshall & Swift
  • Advise account service teams on natural hazard exposures and limits
