POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing Account Executive who is independent and self-motivated and who thrives in an environment where drive and creativity is valued. You will be supported by a team of prospectors, data professionals, and marketers that will provide a stream of inbound leads.
The Account Executive is responsible for selling Alt Legal solutions to drive new revenue in Law Firm and Corporate accounts. This is a high impact position that directly contributes to our overall growth by delivering new logos through strategic account management, influence, relationship-building, and value-based selling. Account Executives are expected to manage the deal process, from discovery through close.
Compensation includes a base salary and commission.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote and sell Alt Legal through inbound and outbound phone calls and emails
- Attain monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Work with prospective clients to understand their key challenges and qualify potential leads
- Actively listen to understand customer pain points and objectives. Be able to clearly articulate Alt Legal’s product advantages to solve relevant pain points to help our customers achieve desired objectives
- Develop detailed territory and account plans
- Lead live product demos to show the value of Alt Legal and close your own deals
- Participate in 1:1 trainings and sales meetings to refine sales and product knowledge
- Participate at in-person and virtual industry events, including domestic and international trademark and IP conferences, product showcases, and customer appreciation events, as needed
- Collaborate with sales, support, product, and success teams
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years B2B sales experience or relevant work experience; prior legal sales or practice experience preferred but not necessary
- History of exceeding quota
- Exceptional communication skills via phone and email
- Proven creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills
- Desire and ability to move up within our organization
- Thrives as both an individual contributor AND in a highly-collaborative team environment
- Highly organized self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects and workstreams
- Good sense of humor
Bonus Points:
- Proficiency with Salesforce (or comparable CRM system) and HubSpot
- Demonstrated interest in intellectual property and/or the legal issues surrounding SaaS businesses
- Experience running demos and how to pitch value of SaaS platforms
