Account Executive, Mid-Market and SMB New Business
We are expanding our global footprint and are seeking field sales professionals to spearhead the expansion of our market reach in northern Italy, based in the greater Milan area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with an ambitious vision and mission and investing in people, tech and products.
We are looking for exceptional individuals with strong sales skills to join the Mid-Market team here at Mimecast. As a pivotal member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities in new markets, driving revenue growth, and establishing strong relationships with customers and partners. The patch will cover a large portion of the named Italian Named account space as well as SMB, that will be targeted via our channel Partners.
The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated, strong team player with a proven track record of success in generating and winning new business. A good understanding of the corporate technology stack and cloud computing are important. Cyber security knowledge is desirable. We are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic and proven success who will thrive in a fast paced, agile but well-structured sales environment that is regularly reinventing itself.
Mimecast is a partner centric organization, and as such Account Executives are be supported by and need to work closely with, the Business Development, Partner Development, Marketing teams as well as our partner community, to generate a pipeline of new business opportunities which they can successfully convert into new customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Identifying sales opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Bringing your knowledge and contacts within the Italian Cyber partners space
  • Identifying and implementing strategies to sell solutions into new accounts.
  • Achieving monthly / quarterly / annual new business targets.
  • Working with the Partner / Channel Development team to develop and execute against account plans.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with new business prospects.
  • Managing Business Administration by generating the reporting of the Key Performance Indicator’s and general CRM housekeeping.
  • Embracing and becoming an expert in Mimecast’s sales methodology and process.
  • Monitoring and reporting on activities while providing relevant management information.
  • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties, aid business, and develop organizationally.
  • Attending trainings and developing relevant knowledge and skills; expectation of quarterly travel.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong track record of generating and winning new business in B2B sales (ideally within Email / Messaging / Cyber Security / Storage - but not essential)
  • Proven sales achievement against revenue quota.
  • Ideally experience of both Direct & In-Direct sales roles.
  • Understanding of Corporate IT teams and their buying processes.
  • Strong business / commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication (Written and Verbal),negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and expertise in utilizing Salesforce.
  • Self-motivated, strong team player with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Full language proficiency in Italian and English.
  • Ability to travel to customers, partner events, industry events, internal meetings.
  • Results-oriented with a positive outlook.
  • College degree required or equivalent professional experience.
