Overview:
We are looking to recruit an Account Handler to join Risk Manangement Partners, a division of Pen Underwriting. You will be responsible for servicing Public Sector accounts within the renewal lifecycle process with the opportunity to work on new business opportunities with prospective clients. Ideally, you will have experience of working as an Account Handler and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of excellent customer service, skills of negotiation and market awareness. You will ensure standards of service to customers are in accordance to those laid down by the company along with FCA regulatory rules and guidelines.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Assist in renewal process, preparation of submission and the gathering of information.
  • Coordinate all renewal quotes for existing customers along with any mid-terms adjustments.
  • Customer details to be recorded accurately and entered onto systems in a timely fashion.
  • Manage insurer queries in relation to customer policies,
  • Confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies and chase up outstanding documentation when required.
  • Secure delivery of policy documentation from insurers and check prior to approval and release.
  • Assist with customer queries relating to existing policies and liaise with insurers regarding potential changes and terms for policies.
  • Manage accounts and process payments by deliverable dates
  • Deal with account queries and credit control matters, ensuring they are resolved efficiently and any concerns raised.
  • Grasp and apply fundamental legal and regulatory policy for internal policies and the insurance contract as required.
  • Perform miscellaneous office duties in support of account servicing
  • Manage own workload in order to effectively service the client relationship and ensure placements are completed within client deadlines
  • Comply with AJG Professional Standards Manual in accordance with statutory requirements for the role with specific attention, but not limited to Managing Client information, Whistle Blowing, Treating Customers Fairly

About you:

  • Holding/working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualification: Dip CII/ FIT (Fitness Insurance Test) desirable
  • Insurance administration experience desirable
  • Worked to targets within a regulated, measurable framework and achieved SLA’s
  • Risk aware in handling customer information
  • Knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd’s and Industry) products, services, classes of insurance including underlying legal principles and practices relating to risk within own role capacity.
  • Able to recognise potential risk and seek advice when required.
  • Evidence of rapport-building and experience in providing solid customer service focus with outstanding communication and social skills.
  • Evidence of effectively prioritising risks to manage concurrent workflow
  • Due diligence and process driven to deadlines, happy to forward plan, organise and analyse information.
  • Highly accurate with strong attention to detail, using initiative when assisting team members. • Fully proficient in MS Office
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
