Description:
As an Account Executive in the Public Sector team, you will be at the forefront of driving strategic sales initiatives and delivering solutions that address complex challenges faced by public sector organizations.
Your role will involve cultivating key relationships, understanding the unique needs of public sector entities, and aligning Microsoft’s offerings to help them achieve their digital transformation goals.
You will leverage your expertise to manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring high-volume sales and alignment with both Microsoft’s and the customer’s objectives. Your ability to navigate and influence multiple levels within the customer’s organization will be crucial in securing long-term commitments and driving the execution of account plans.
Your responsibilities will include developing a deep understanding of the customer’s business, identifying new business opportunities, and acting as a trusted advisor to propose solutions that support their current and future needs. You will also be responsible for accurate sales forecasting, meeting or exceeding sales targets, and maintaining a strategic pipeline.
In this role, your success will be measured by your ability to establish strong, trusted relationships, effectively manage accounts, and contribute to the overall growth and retention within the Public Sector.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven sales experience in the public sector in Portugal, with a track record of over-achieving quota.
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and cycles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and engage effectively with senior-level executives.
- Strong business acumen with a problem-solving attitude.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
- Willingness to travel as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Executive for Public Sector is responsible for managing and growing sales within the public sector vertical. This role requires a strategic thinker who can identify opportunities, build relationships, and close deals to meet and exceed sales targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand customer base in the public sector.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with public sector clients.
- Understand customer needs and requirements to promote company solutions that meet and exceed those needs.
- Work closely with the sales team to identify new sales leads and opportunities within the public sector.
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
- Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, market activities, and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to enhance sales strategies and product offerings.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management.
