We are currently looking for an Account Manager to join our Commercial Team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leader in the Beef Sector who is growing the business beyond market expectations. The account manager will report to the Commercial Director, and will assume overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and development of the customer account for ABP. The role requires a significant amount of cross departmental integration to ensure that forecasts are accurate & that supply chain is managed to meet requirements. A strong relationship with NPD, means the client has a comprehensive product offering to grow market share. The ability to build confident commercial relationships with the customer is most important, in addition to working with all functions in the organisation.
REQUIREMENTS
FMCG retail experience is essential
Degree in Business related discipline is desirable
3-5 years relevant experience
IT skills & literacy
Financial Literacy
Excellent Communicator with the desire to succeed.
Proven negotiation skills
Focused and organised approach to relationship development.
A broad understanding of external economic factors that influence the industry
Ability to add value to the wider business.

Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day business with a clear focus on driving year on year growth via range and positioning
Building a joint business plan with the customer with a focus on building sustainable growth.
Commercial administration including budgeting, forecasting & trade spend.
Relationship development and detailed cross functional contact
Monitor competitor activity in the marketplace, emerging trends and analysis of a number of data sources to generate insight and deliver compelling sales/opportunities.
Stay up to date with industry issues and consumer shopper trends.
Manage communication with key internal stakeholders
Provide input to the development of the customer’s category plan
Maintain updated information and reports against business objectives.
Deliver budgeted sales
Recommend and implement alternative business strategies in light of changing market conditions.
