We have immediate opening in our Western Region operations for an Account Manager. This role will be based in Kamloops, B.C., with the expectation of travel within the Western Region including Saskatchewan.

As our Account Manager, you will be responsible for a wide variety of duties including identifying and securing sales and service opportunities in the Western Canadian region. Your daily and/or weekly schedule would typically consist of the following duties:

  • Hunting for business through company lead follow-ups, existing customer history, tender sites, current events, and history of Industry contacts.
  • Traveling to customer locations to maintain and strengthen relationships and identify their unique requirements and potential solutions.
  • Working in conjunction with inside sales staff and technical support teams to ensure prompt and accurate quotes are submitted.
  • Developing sales plans and reports to manage and report on sales activities and progress.
  • Ensuring CRM tools are updated and reviewed.
  • Taking part in any related training or certification courses.
  • Reviewing information from suppliers on new or updated products.
  • Staying up to date on NFPA, ULC and other local, national, codes and standards.
  • Keeping up on Industry news and highlights.
  • Participating in industry related trade shows and events to promote our products, services, and solutions.
  • Ensuring safe work practices are followed safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job.
  • Supporting other team members including administrative, operational, and field staff, in the safe, efficient delivery of superior service to our clients.

Who we are looking for is a teammate that is:

  • Keenly interested and experienced in fire and life safety services industry.
  • Connected to market, competitor, and customer trends.

They must also possess the following experience and/or training credentials:

  • Experience in the fire and life safety services industry complimented by completion of a technical diploma in fire, safety or related field.
  • Relevant experience in technical product sales or related sales (or business development) of product/service-based solutions.
  • Knowledge of NFPA, ULC and other local, national, codes and standards.
  • Familiarity with computerized ERP and CRM systems would be an asset.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • NOTE: All combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • NOTE: Candidates who advance through the hiring process will be required to submit a current Certificate of Conduct.

The base compensation for this position would vary on the level of skills and experience the candidate brings.
