We’re passionate about using technology to simplify complex challenges, and we’re looking for a Account Manager, Field Operations to join our growing team.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly motivated Account Manager who will play a key role in supporting our clients as they implement new software solutions, particularly in the field. This role requires hands-on engagement with field operators to ensure successful adoption of our platform, while also managing ongoing relationships with key accounts.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in field operations within the energy sector and enthusiastic about technology. You’ll be responsible for guiding field operators through the onboarding process, offering support, providing technical training, and managing account growth. This role requires excellent communication, adaptability, and a deep understanding of both the technical aspects of the software and the operational challenges of the energy industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of experience in the energy industry, with a focus on field operations or surface-land management is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in account management, sales, business development and/or customer support experience.
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships for field operations customers.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information into practical, real-world applications for operators.
  • A passion for technology, with the ability to quickly learn new software products and solutions.
  • Experience in training or supporting field operators with new software implementations is a strong asset.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with field operators to implement our software, providing hands-on training, support, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Manage existing client relationships, focusing on identifying growth opportunities and driving adoption of new products and features.
  • Assist in responding to field-based usability and functionality requests, helping to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, collaborating with internal teams to ensure our products are continuously improving to meet field and operational needs.
  • Develop and adapt training materials to suit field environments, ensuring that operators have the tools and knowledge to successfully use the software.
  • Represent AbaData at industry events and trade shows, sharing our innovative solutions with the broader market.
  • Work with management to develop and refine service plans and customer success metrics.
