About the Role
HSDC wishes to appoint Account Manager to join it Ofsted outstanding rated Adult Provision team. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, and keen eye for detail and strong communication skills. The college is looking for a full-time Account Manager to work at the Alton campus to help develop employer relationships within the Alton area to help grow the delivery of employer responsive adult training courses. The post holder will carry out research with employers from a range of sectors to understand what the skills gaps are in the area and how the college can fill these gaps using various ESFA adult skills funds.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Develop and deliver an outstanding employer, DWP and other referral agency account management service in partnership with HSDC Adult provision.
- Lead on external activities for growth in new employer recruitment to ensure the College meets all its Adult Skills Fund allocation.
- To be the single point of contact with designated employers to actively create adult learning opportunities to meet college’s Adult Skills Fund strategic aims.
- Complete appropriate sales activities to develop new employer opportunities, including telesales campaigns, face to face meetings and social media.
- Represent the college at a range of internal and external networking events to promote the college as a provider of choice including the college business breakfasts.
- To plan and organise employer focused events such as breakfast briefings and other networking events to broaden employer engagement activities.
Requirements
You will need:
- Qualified at Level 2 for English and Maths
- Good knowledge of the complex FE/training environment, as well as future developments and priorities.
- Proven experience of development of work-based learning activities within the FE sector.
- Proven experience of successful performance against sales and business development targets in a business-to-business environment, including a clear understanding of the solution sales process.
- Good overall understanding of ESFA Adult Skills funding methodology, and basic understanding of commercial income, expenditure and contribution models.
- Strong ability to meet financial targets.

For more experienced teachers, or those who have completed the Award, you will be welcome to join our Certificate in Education or PGCE course through our partnership with Portsmouth University. You will receive a financial contribution and a reduction in teaching time to support you in becoming a fully qualified teacher!
