ACCOUNT MANAGER / PROJECT MANAGER

Forward Slash Technology is a St. Louis-based information technology managed services and telecommunications provider, offering a wide variety of voice, data and security services to local businesses and municipalities throughout Missouri. With our consulting services, our IT solution company can help small and medium-sized businesses prepare and develop an IT plan and budget, determine the best Internet carrier or VOIP provider, select the best hardware and equipment and offer IT support services to help businesses troubleshoot network security problems or manage daily IT operations.
Account Manager is the primary role of this position. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, energetic, success-thriving individual responsible for account development. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task are a must. Some experience in Voice-over IP or IT services is a plus, but not required. Excellent customer service skills are also required.
Project Management is the secondary role of this position and it includes the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and within scope. The candidate will oversee all aspects of projects, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize progress of project and prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.
Sales Management is also a part of this role and the responsibilities include generating IT Sales, developing business relationships with new clients, making sales visits and presentations, maintaining advanced knowledge of products and services, and establishing and meeting sales goals.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven account management or other relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of experience in the related field or equivalent work experience
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity
  • Ability to prioritize among competing tasks
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of website development, marketing, measurement and analytics, content management, digital marketing, and internet technology

  • Pass a fingerprint-based Missouri State Highway Patrol & Federal background test (no felonies)

Responsibilities:

AM RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the primary point of contact and build long-term relationships with established and new customers
  • Help customers through email, phone, online presentations, screen-share and in person meetings
  • Develop a trusted advisory relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Forecast and track key account metrics
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Enhance department and organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis
  • Monitor and analyze customer’s usage of our services and products
  • Responsible for working with the management to onboard and integrate new clients and developing existing client relationships
  • Liaise between the customer and internal teams

PM RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

SALES RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sell IT Managed Services, as well as both premise-based and cloud-based hardware and services
  • Effectively utilize sales strategies to ensure the company meets revenue and profit objectives through target prospecting of small to mid-size accounts
  • Be responsible for developing a new customer base
  • Work with a defined sales quota focusing on initiating relationships with multi-level decision-makers (IT decision makers, business owners, C-level management, etc.) through phone, marketing mailer campaigns, in-person contacts, and presentations
  • Have a typical work week consisting of office and field days including face-to-face contact with your prospective new accounts
