Description:
About the Role: We are looking for an Account Manager (f/m/d) in the GAS region to join our team who will find excitement in selling world-class products to the most significant lifestyle, outdoor and sports brands in the GAS region with the focus on Footwear products and the lifestyle category. The Account Manager (f/m/d) should appreciate and develop strong interpersonal relationships at all levels of the customer organization and across the Gore organization and be effective at coordinating both internal and external account teams.
This is a remote position and you can work from your home office in most locations within Germany.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years’ experience successfully selling premium-priced technical products in a consumer related industry
- Ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders to drive sales opportunities to completion while successfully developing lasting relationships with multiple levels of customer organizations
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment, including demonstrated experience collaborating and influencing others; strategic thinker and problem solver
- Proven track record developing deep and comprehensive customer, competitor, product and market knowledge, leveraging it for Company’s advantage
- Demonstrated ability finding the proper balance between championing the account needs internally and representing the needs of the company externally
- Understanding of and experience with premise-based forecasting
- Ability to navigate a matrix organization while working effectively in a remote environment
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including listening skills
- Proficiency using computer software and applications (ie. CRM)
- Ability to travel an average of 50% (with seasonal travel slightly higher)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in Lifestyle Footwear Industry
- Experience in Sports and Outdoor in Garments and Gloves is a plus
Remote Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore’s remote working policies, from the country in which they are employed.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for setting and reaching sales goals, margin targets and sell thru for a portfolio of accounts across the GAS region
- Developing and implementing key account plans, including long-term winning account strategies, objectives and opportunities
- Maintains broad knowledge of the accounts business, so as to be able to create exceptional value for it; this includes a clear understanding of the accounts’ strategies, positioning to consumers, and the priorities of various purchase decision-makers
- Closely coordinates with the Sales Team, Marketing Team and Product Team to merchandising solutions and agreements that uniquely build Gore’s ability to succeed with the accounts
- Developing deep product knowledge and broad market understanding needed to provide value to the accounts
- The ability to turn complex internal product/business strategies into clear and concise account strategies
- Creating annual premise-based forecasts
- Establishing clear sales call objectives
- Following through on commitments to customers and internal team(s)
