We are looking for a dedicated and result oriented individual to join our Health Team as an Account Manager. This position can be based in either Australia or New Zealand and report to the Sub-Regional Sales Leader for Health.
Your Focus
As an IFF Health Account Manager, your portfolio will include ingredients from our Health Platform. You will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing our relationship strategy at key accounts
- Identifying and educating new and prospective customers
- Communicate market trends and consumer insights
- Translating customers’ insights and unmet needs into new business leads
- Building a strong pipeline of opportunities
- Collaborate with internal functions (e.g. Innovation, Application, Product Management, Quality, Regulatory) to drive conversion of business leads
You should have the ability to engage with customers in commercial, marketing, technical and application discussions (e.g. marketing trends, consumer insights, formulation design, regulatory landscape). The portfolio scope will include Probiotics & Microbiome, Extracts & Fibers and Bioscience Ingredients.
How You Will Contribute
- Achieve Sales Targets and Business Objectives within ANZ in line with H&B – the Health Business Strategy and Annual Sales Budget Plan.
- Develop Account strategy and execute for key accounts.
- Understanding needs and challenges of customer (key accounts), build and manage strategic relationships at key accounts to identify win-win opportunities and grow revenues while meeting unmet needs of the customer, enabling customer to achieve own objectives with our solutions.
- Successfully commercialize new opportunities through clear scoping of business, technical and application requirements, developing differentiated and innovation solutions based on our portfolio’s capabilities, maintaining an attractive business case, and effective coordination between internal and external stakeholders through all stages of sales process.
- Develop and/or deliver customer workshops and presentations to raise customer awareness of market trends and insights in specific applications and educate customers on how to employ IFF’s solutions to address these needs.
- Manage & drive new opportunities from potential customers.
- Maintain up to date knowledge on market developments and trends, competitive intelligence etc., to ensure relevance of market strategy.
- Maintain updated 12 month rolling forecast of products on a monthly basis, and liaise with supply chain group, production, SBU and other functions to ensure proper and smooth supply to customers.
- Maintain updated CRM - account profiles, account plans, call reports, opportunity pipeline etc.
What you will need to be successful
- Tertiary qualification in Human Nutrition, Microbiology, Food Technology or related Science degree.
- Experience in Sales.
- Experience with Probiotics, Prebiotics and Plant Extracts.
- Experience with customers engagement and key account management
- Existing network and expertise in the ANZ Dietary Supplement Industry.
- Good commercial, marketing and technical acumen that enables identification of commercial, marketing and technical needs, and proposal of optimized solution.
- Proven value selling and negotiation skills.
- Resilient to setbacks and strong drive for impact.
- Strong interpersonal skills, networking ability and team player.
- Proactive and independent. Proven ability to work and manage time and priorities un-supervised.
- Effective listening, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and regionally.
- Willingness to learn and develop.
