We are looking to hire ambitious, and value-adding talent to join Modulr, the fastest growing payments business in the UK and Europe, to retain and grow long-lasting relationships with our clients and partners.

We are deeply integrated into the payment eco-system. In the UK, we are direct participants of Faster Payments and Bacs, and hold settlement accounts at the Bank of England. Our payment network connectivity includes CHAPS, Open Banking, SEPA, SWIFT and account issuance in 11 currencies. We are principal issuing members of Visa and Mastercard across UK and Europe.
Our regulatory permissions and governance structure underpin our business. We are regulated and supervised as an Authorised Electronic Money Institution (AEMI) in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority and in the Netherlands by De Nederlandsche Bank.
Our founding team has a wealth of experience in the payments industry and growing successful businesses. Modulr is backed by the venture arms of payments giants PayPal and FIS, as well as growth investors Blenheim Chalcot, General Atlantic, Frog Capital and Highland Europe.
Modulr now has over 400 employees spread globally across offices in London, Edinburgh, Amsterdam and Mumbai.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- We’re looking for individuals with relevant experience in Technology / SaaS firms or Financial Services.
- Prior experience in an Account or Partner Management role.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-functionally to build consensus.
- Account growth:
- Proven track record in exploring and creating upsell opportunities, and maximising uptake, suggesting new services.
- Ability to meet and exceed revenue targets and performance.
- Account management:
- Relationship builder and ability to build multi-party relationships.
- Experience with management and development of strategic accounts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to read a situation, listen, frame a conversation, and deliver presentation and insights to your clients.
- Commercial:
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Excellent strategic planning to develop long term and highly valuable relationships.
- Strong analytical and written skills with great attention to detail.
- You have unassailable integrity, work ethic, humility and team spirit and have the ambition and desire to work in a high-growth tech company.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Account Manager is a vital role within Modulr and this role will ensure clients understand Modulr payment services and products and through their data-driven approach to help our clients understand and make the most of our products and payments services in context of their business. Our Account Management team develop deep expertise in our clients’ vertical markets to help grow our existing partners and further expand our market share.
The Account Management team is at the centre of our Sales team, with a mission to retain and grow from existing clients through developing relationships, understanding their business goals and identifying opportunities. Our Account managers are solely responsible for the commercial relationship with our existing clients, working with them in regular cadence and ensuring they are fully connected with Modulr teams, products and service developments.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Reporting to our Head of Account Management, you will be responsible for retaining and growing a high performing portfolio of accounts.
- Deliver a world class experience to an expanding portfolio of clients across UK and Europe.
- Develop client relationships that promote growth, retention and loyalty, ultimately improving customer lifetime value.
- Grow revenue by identifying, driving and supporting on upsell opportunities for Modulr services.
- Maximise the uptake of Modulr capability, suggesting new services.
- Have a clear plan for every owned account to grow and develop it.
- Carry out revenue forecasting and undertake periodical account reviews.
- Monitor the commercial performance of each account within the assigned portfolio, monitoring transaction and usage trends.
- Negotiate pricing discussions, debt collections.
- You will be expected to have a deep client understanding and knowledge of Modulr products and ensure all customers are successfully using the product or service.
- Delivering on all aspects of Transactional Growth and key metrics (NRR, churn rate, NPS and C-SAT) across your client portfolio.
