The National Response Centre (NRC) is an autonomous Business Unit that sits within Energy Supply and Operations (ES&O) Business. The NRC operates around the clock on a 24/7 basis, responsible for covering a wide range of inbound emergency, non-emergency and incident response call services, including outbound dispatch to field resources and a range of employee safety monitoring services for numerous well known Australian businesses. Our services are geared towards response-based solutions most often in hazardous environments that ultimately support the health and safety of our customer’s people and critical asset infrastructure. The NRC offering is unique in the market and there are no direct competitors that we know of.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Manager to join our team at a time when the NRC is poised for fast and sustainable market growth. This role is pivotal in realising the expansion of our complex service offerings within the energy sector and into new adjacent markets. This role demands a strategic approach that cultivates strong partnerships to both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for nurturing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and have proven track record of exceeding sales targets. In alignment with the role expectations, a generous base salary, along with performance-based bonuses will be available to the successful candidate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Spearhead and lead the FY25 market growth strategy for the NRC.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Identify new business opportunities and build a pipeline of prospective clients within the energy sector and into new adjacent markets.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams to design and propose complex solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Drive the sales process from initial contact through contract negotiation and closure.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and effective project management.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business development.
  • Create and present performance updates to senior leaders within the broader Origin business.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS?

This is a newly created role at the NRC due to recent organic growth. It is now time to appoint a dedicated sales leader that can pick up and drive the growth strategy for the NRC. The role will be autonomous yet part of the NRC Team, requiring a highly capable and motivated individual to realise the market success that we know is possible.
