TAKING OWNERSHIP OF YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES, YOU WILL:

  • Develop and secure new business opportunities, gaining market share and ensuring effective execution of the company sales plan
  • Ensure customer retention by maintaining a strong track record in supply and service level performance
  • End-to-end execution of client projects, from enquiry through to quotation, and repeat orders
  • Profile existing client needs and build effective relationships
  • Support and implement Business Development Team initiatives
  • Engage in face-to-face selling, respond to sales enquiries and cold call
  • Assist in the preparation and management of the annual sales budget
  • Forecast and review, annual, quarterly and monthly gross profit streams
  • Ensure customers are managed by the wider team with detailed account management plans
  • Share competitive intelligence and business opportunity knowledge

Plasdene Glass-Pak is now the largest independent, family and Australian-owned Packaging Distribution Business in Australia. We supply glass and plastic bottles, jars, containers, closures, cartons, dividers, cans, flexible and bulk packaging to the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, health care, wine, oil, spirit, industrial, agricultural, pet care, personal care and cosmetic sectors from seven Packaging Plaza Showrooms and Distribution Centre’s across the Nation.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working within a dynamic and successful business with responsibility for an impressive client list, you will have the support of a strong management structure and responsive customer service team, allowing for maximum time on the road.
The role is diverse and will see you working with a large and varied product range and client industry mix. This role is two-faceted, with equal emphasis placed on managing client relationships, and sales growth.

To be considered for this role you will require high level understanding of sales, relationship building and account management principles. You must have the drive and commitment to learn about our product range to maximise sales opportunities to achieve portfolio growth, profitable results and excellent customer service satisfaction, together with:

  • A proven track record in achieving targets and sales objectives
  • A proven track record in account management in a fast-paced environment with multiple products, spanning diverse industry sectors to tight and demanding deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent administration, planning and organisational skills, and ability to prioritise and finalise a number of competing tasks
  • A good understanding of business and financial processes
  • Strong negotiation skills combined with solid problem solving, analytical and decision making ability
  • High level of attention to detail
  • A results driven, hardworking and ambitious winning attitud
