We have an opportunity for an Account Manager to join our dynamic Public Relations team in Sydney (with candidates in Melbourne and Brisbane also considered).
The role:
As the Account Manager (AM), you will be responsible for independently managing the implementation of ongoing pre-agreed activity involved in the basic day-to-day running of accounts within Dentsu Creative Public Relation’s Agribusiness and Sustainability team.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and nurturing client relationships within a high performing team
  • Strategy – communications plans, media strategies, and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Content development – media releases, opinion articles, case studies, website content, newsletters, briefing notes, presentations, fact sheets, and social content.
  • Media relations – working with researchers and external stakeholders, providing strategic communications advice to clients, input into issues preparedness.
  • Project management – active client and project management, maintaining work in progress documents, ensuring timely delivery of client work, managing client briefs, overseeing graphic design and video production, and measurement and evaluation reporting.
  • Proposal and pitch development – building strategies and crafting approaches for new business.

A bit about you:

  • You have previous experience in PR, strategic communications, corporate affairs, media or similar, including project management and delivery.
  • Preferably you have a background or experience in farming/agriculture, environment, climate, sustainability, the food and fibre value chain, agrifood or climate tech.
  • You have outstanding writing skills and bring agility in your work with varied short and long written formats.
  • You possess an innate understanding of what makes news, how to develop strong angles and can pitch ideas to media or project partners.
  • You’re a strategic thinker, communicator, problem solver and networker.
  • You have outstanding relationship building skills and attention to detail.
  • You are proactive and value working as part of a smart and switched on team.
  • Desirable tertiary qualifications include public relations, media and communications, journalism, ag economics, ag science or environmental science.
