POSITION SUMMARY

Develop, manage and achieve desired business goals on all Smucker Consumer products at the account.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS SUMMARY

  • Develop & implement annual business plans including volume objectives, trade spending requirements, strategies which are consistent with the Smucker brand and corporate strategies, opportunities and risks.
  • Work closely with the Customer Director, Key Account Managers, as well as Category Strategy, Trade Spend Analysts and internal teams to identify, develop and execute business building plans for the account.
  • Achieve full line distribution for all Smucker products with emphasis on maximizing product volume and Contribution Margin.
  • Establish and maintain frequent contact with account representatives, particularly merchandising, operations, supply chain and finance.
  • Achieve desired accounts receivable and trade spending goals through working closely with Smucker Accounts Receivable & Trade Spend representatives.
  • Coordinate and communicate all relevant account program information for Retail Sales Manager and Acosta leads to achieve desired results through Acosta retail sales representatives (merchandising, pricing, distribution, planograms).
  • Perform retail audits to ensure Acosta compliance
  • Report on all competitor data and other required information on a timely basis (ie. Weekly, Qtrly Reviews).
  • Provide forecasting information to the Demand Planning team through ongoing volume reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree/College Diploma or relevant experience
  • Minimum 2 years industry experience in Consumer packaged goods. Previous Account Management or customer related experience an asset.
  • Experience leveraging market consumer and shopper information to develop, negotiate and execute annual plan.
  • Sound analytical capabilities, with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with AC Nielsen Market Track, Homescan & Channelwatch is an asset.
  • Team and results oriented with effective communication skills, presentation experience is an asset.
  • Flexible, extended hours and workdays required basis meetings and demands of the business
  • Ability to travel when needed
  • Valid Class G driver’s licence required
  • Business acumen and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate
  • Bilingual in English and French (verbal and written) an asset
