About the role
As the Account Manager – Suppliers, you will ensure that we identify and implement the best transport solutions for all our Suppliers, Bunnings stores and our customers.
You will seek commercial opportunities to onboard suppliers into our delivery program and play a pivotal role in driving the growth of the program with a primary focus on generating and onboarding new suppliers, consolidating volume and fostering strong relationships.

What’s involved:

• Assist with presenting the program vision to Suppliers and work through the onboarding and transition plans with suppliers
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to align supplier and carrier operations with overall business strategies
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify areas for operational improvement
• Provide regular reports to senior management regarding Supplier key metrics and initiatives
• Collaborate with suppliers on network optimisation opportunities to streamline distribution and transport operations
• Communicate proactively on any service-related issues and action root cause issues to improve performance

Who we’re looking for
Bringing your experience across Account Management, you will be a natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills.
You will have deep knowledge of transport operations and the associated cost levers, as well as a thorough understanding of supply chain operational processes.

You’ll need:

• Proven experience in Supplier and Carrier operations management as an account manager
• Demonstrated experience managing significant transport budgets
• Excellent understanding of CoR, transportation regulations, legislation and compliance requirements
• Strong commercial acumen, with negotiation and contract managements skills
• Ability to foster partnerships and influence stakeholders to align with business objectives
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, Supply Chain management, business or a related field preferred
