JOB OVERVIEW

Responsible, efficient and entrepreneurial. Our Account Managers make the day-to-day activities happen. They are on top of the detail, self-starting, solution orientated and manage their campaign from start to finish.
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of your clients’ business, and of your proficiency in social media and influencer outreach. You will have a constant desire to negotiate the best commercial and creative deal for your clients and will partner with our legal counsel, and your line manager to understand the clients contractual needs. You will always be looking up to 6-months ahead to proactively manage the twists and turns that may lay ahead.
Additionally, you will be looking to always present the best of BDB, maintain relationships with clients, and be on the lookout for opportunities for both parties.   • Being a chief negotiator - working with Senior Account Executives/Account Executives to secure the best rates in line with budgets, deliverables, and contract terms to drive agency profitability and ensure agency security.

  • Creative guardian - reviewing and confidently providing feedback on creative (creative team/Influencers) to check alignment with a client brief and campaign objectives to ensure effectiveness

Responsibilities:

  • Looking at the horizon of up to 6 months and planning accordingly.
  • Managing the day-to-day running of your accounts. Planning project resources, leading status meetings, and internal timings and development.
  • Owning the process; strategy & research, creative ideation, influencer management (selection, outreach and negotiation, contracting) legal and production.
  • Being the main point of contact for clients - building a trusted relationship with clients, leading the client throughout a campaign, and managing expectations.
  • Flagging risks, distilling talent troubles, and client concerns.
  • Contributing to strategic conversations and will be able to translate client feedback and accurately brief creatives.
  • Be able to anticipate the next steps and pull in the relevant resources and support.
  • You will be familiar with your client’s business and commercial performance by engaging with basic sales and profit analysis on an ongoing basis, being able to spot ongoing performance trends and take learnings from in-depth project reconciliations.
  • Reviewing Influencer due diligence run by the team and flagging any issues and recommendations to the client.
  • You will have a deep understanding of the Scope Of Works having helped compile them.
  • Understanding how the account is tracking against targets and ensuring financial best practices.
  • Flagging risks and scope creep by ensuring Salesforce & Companion is kept up-to-date, time sheets are reported accurately, and own the job reconciliation process.
  • Owning reporting on communications performance and client KPIs with the support of the Account Executives / Senior Account Executives.
  • Having total awareness of project fees, POs, and client billing status.
  • Having an awareness of client billable status and payment terms.
  • Ensuring the agency doesn’t commit itself to work without client-approved budgets/signed client contracts.
  • Building the master influencer term sheet for AD/legal sign-off linking with client contract. Demonstrating commercial efficiencies and commitment to cost savings for clients.
  • Leading the delivery of project reconciliations and identified learnings that will be applied to the next brief.
  • Develops a leadership style, both up and down. Nurturing junior team members and taking responsibility for their output and learning.
  • Managing upwards, keeping more senior members of the team always aware of campaign status.
  • Knowing the client’s business so well that you are confident challenging the agency or client’s strategic direction.
