Description:
ACCOUNT MANAGER (COMMERCIAL & FARMING)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 08.30-17.00 Monday to Friday, with flexibility around those hours as needed.
Location: Our office is in the heart of Wells. This role is a mixture of office based and visiting clients with the option to work from home up to 2 days per week.
At NFU Mutual Wells Agency we are currently recruiting for a Farming & Commercial Account Manager to join our dynamic team and provide dedicated insurance support to our commercial, farming and agricultural customers.

This role is perfect if you have a passion for agriculture and farming, love relationship building, and you are looking for an interesting and fulfilling career in the insurance industry. You do not need prior insurance experience as we will provide you with comprehensive training on all insurance products and support to get the required licenses. What is more important to us is that you have a passion and understanding of farming along with the skills and attitude to provide exceptional support and service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Actively promote and sell our range of commercial insurance solutions, ensuring adherence to FCA requirements, sales quality, advice standards, and all other regulatory guidelines.
- Proactively manage your sales pipeline, cultivating relationships with both new and existing farming, agricultural and commercial clients while providing them with expert knowledge of NFU Mutual’s full product range.
- Provide exceptional customer service via in-person visits, phone and email, guiding clients through the sales process with the utmost professionalism.
- Collaborate with team members to continuously improve the customer journey.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our products and services.
