ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE – DURHAM REGION
Location: Pickering, Ontario
Position Type: Full-time - Permanent
Reporting: Director, Sales and Marketing
Start Date: To be determined
Miller Waste Systems is seeking an Account Representative to establish and maintain working relationships with industrial, commercial, and institutional customers. The Account Representative will be responsible for seeking opportunities to grow our business with existing clients while delivering excellent customer service and helping customers reach their environmental goals.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in Business or relevant field
- 5 years’ experience in outside sales, including engaging and retaining customers, prospecting, generating leads, and managing and growing key accounts
- Solid written and oral communication skills; ability to convey information clearly and concisely in the form of phone conversations, emails, in-person meetings, and presentations
- Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Ability to productively collaborate with other internal departments, including Operations, Marketing, Accounts Receivables, Health and Safety, to deliver solutions based on client needs and objectives
- Valid driver’s license, personal car for business use, and business class insurance

Responsibilities:
In the position of Account Representative, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Negotiate/renew contracts with existing customer base
- Periodically visit client sites to investigate issues and offer support
- Develop sales quotations and respond to request for proposals
- Maintain detailed knowledge of MWS’s service offerings
- Promptly and courteously respond to customer requests
- Act as a trusted advisor for prospects and clients
- Research and analyze competitors
- Conduct customer risk analyses
- Maintain trusting, long-term relationships with clients and prospects
- Use CRM to record prospecting and sales activity
- Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to the Director of Sales and Marketing
