REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ Years’ experience in capital equipment, scientific equipment, construction sales/estimating or lab furniture sales
- College degree in marketing, business administration or relevant field
- Experience developing Architect and General Contractor relationships
- Safe, clean driving record (Employment contingent on clean Background Check).
- Ability to understand spatial relationships and design
- Strong multi-tasking abilities with exceptional follow through
- Excellent negotiating skillsProfessional and clear communicator
Responsibilities:
ROLE
In the position of Account Representative you will be responsible for the growth and cultivation of the End User, Architect and General Contractor clients in Western Massachusetts and Southern New England territory. This position will require travel within the territory on a daily basis or as needed. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with key decision makers within an organization and using those relationships to better position New England Laboratory Casework as the primary provider. Providing and participating in a team approach to servicing clients and projects is essential.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prospecting in order to develop relationships and increase sales volume with end users at each facility in our target markets
- Discover new sales opportunities through established relationships to discover and influence projects before they go out to bid
- Learn the key players at each End User facility, architectural firm, and General Contractor for each potential job
- Oversee the entire sales process from meet-and-greet through installation for each project
- Qualify each opportunity by identifying and understanding the needs of the client
- Work closely with Estimating to ensure all details are covered for each bid
- Travel into the territory and work from the road
- Attend and work specific trade shows throughout the region
- Responsible for building and maintaining customer contact database for your territory
- Responsible for knowledge of product line, applications and industries
- Create, prepare and deliver sales proposals and presentations as needed
- Develop industry relationships by attending/hosting networking group(s)
- Stay aware and informed of industry trends/developments (subscriptions, trade shows, etc…)
- Provide a detailed review of scope for larger projects before turning over to the Estimating department
