ABOUT THE ROLE

Account Supervisors are able to effectively and confidently run the day-to-day of multiple projects of varying scale, scope and size, ensuring projects deliver on the brief and strategically in line with client’s marketing, communications and overall business strategy.
Account Supervisors bring a solutions-based approach to problem solving across all responsibilities, identify opportunities to improve support, communication and quality, and ultimately the value Believeco:partners provides for its pharmaceutical industry clients. They contribute to the year-over-year financial health and growth of their clients, though the core accountability for financial growth lies on their senior peers.
As a key contributor to fostering a positive client relationship, the Account Supervisor will begin to apply sound business knowledge, solid judgment, and vertical and industry expertise to not only meet but exceed client expectations. They are a champion of good strategic and creative work, and have started to recognize what “great” looks like. They are more confident in their ability to evaluate work, provide feedback, and to ensure they fully comprehend client requests and the problem(s) they are looking to solve.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Manage a set of client relationships (either on one or a portfolio of clients) and understand their accountability in the profitability of their accounts.
  • Begin to network the client relationship to identify new revenue opportunities, predominantly in the up-sell opportunity, but are aware of agency capabilities and can begin to cross-sell, with the support of their manager
  • Build meaningful relationships with junior and middle level decision-makers such as brand or product managers, while having the confidence and respect of the senior marketers.
  • Respond to, and at times predict, the client’s needs and excel at meeting those needs.
  • Is able to think beyond the brief, asking questions to fully understand the business need and can begin to consider what is being requested may have alternative solutions
  • Account Supervisors, while they may not work on every project for a given client or account, can communicate closely with colleagues to understand the ‘big picture’ and see the interdependencies of various initiatives
  • Ensure SOWs are well understood and – working with their PM partner – can effectively manage multiple projects on time and on (or under) budget
  • Keep abreast of industry and vertical trends to an extent that clients see the Account Supervisor as a strategic partner such that BCP can fulfill on its core service offering of combining both delivery and vertical expertise.
  • Ensure full and meaningful knowledge transfer to the PM and the delivery team at the beginning of each project.
  • The Account Supervisor should be seen as their direct client partner’s “person” in the agency and as such, will lead client conversations and act as a strategic partner.
  • The Supervisor will work closely with their PM partner, ensuring the PM has required information to effectively support the execution of projects (e.g. Requirements Gathering and Analysis, Strategic Direction Setting, and client expectation management
  • Review and consult with the Project Manager on project deliverables across every stage of the project lifecycle to ensure that client requirements are met, and client communication/feedback/approval is received as determined by the client’s approval process. This includes reviewing copy and layout across the key milestones of the project, and assisting with the management of external governance and compliance (e.g., ASC, PAAB, etc.)
  • Facilitate and coordinate the requirements analysis phase of a project and prepare the Requirements Analysis document.
  • The Account Supervisor is accountable for the quality of client facing deliverables, and will take a “client lens” approach to reviewing all work against the brief and against client feedback. They are able to respectfully and effectively push back internally if a deliverable is not meeting the client standards or feedback.
