Description:

JOB SUMMARY

As an Accountant at Bios Wellness Clinic, you will be integral to our financial operations, ensuring precise financial reporting and insightful analysis of service profitability. Collaborating with both clinical and administrative teams, you will uphold compliance with industry regulations while protecting sensitive financial information. By leveraging your analytical abilities, you will drive strategic financial decisions that contribute to the clinic’s continued success and outstanding patient care.

ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS

  • Maintain well-organized financial records and documentation for aesthetic treatments and services.
  • Manage multiple financial tasks and deadlines efficiently within the fast-paced clinic environment.
  • Develop and maintain filing systems for easy retrieval of financial information related to patient services.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to meet reporting deadlines and financial obligations.

ANALYTICAL SKILLS

  • Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue enhancement from aesthetic services.
  • Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between budgeted and actual figures.
  • Develop forecasts based on historical data and financial trends related to aesthetic procedures
  • Assess the financial impact of new treatment offerings and projects on clinic profitability.

REGULATORY KNOWLEDGE

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and healthcare regulations relevant to medical aesthetics in BC.
  • Maintain knowledge of tax regulations specific to the medical aesthetics industry.
  • Prepare and submit tax filings and documentation for audits in compliance with health regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial regulations impact aesthetic practices.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation.
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably within the healthcare or medical aesthetics industry.
  • Familiarity with financial practices and regulations in British Columbia.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of applicable tax laws and financial regulations, especially those relevant to the healthcare industry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to support financial objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and is self motivated.
